Recently, I visited Galeries Lafayette - one of the most famous luxury department stores in the world. I was very curious to explore their vintage fashion section and especially the vintage fur selection.
And honestly, I left surprised.

The prices were extremely high, but many coats showed visible signs of aging, dryness, poor fur condition, or low-quality selection. This is something many buyers unfortunately cannot recognize immediately from appearance alone.

Working with real fur for more than 15 years, I’ve learned that not every vintage fur coat is worth saving.

Luxury should mean quality, craftsmanship, and durability.
Paris was beautiful as always - but this visit reminded me once again that true vintage expertise cannot be replaced by luxury presentation alone.
